In Home Consultation
Consultations in the comfort of your own home are made possible by Nova’s experienced team of veterinarians and vet nurses. This option is ideal for animals that despise travelling or being in a veterinary environment, and it also provides great convenience for pet owners.
Our extensive range of consultations includes general health checks, addressing lameness, resolving skin and ear issues, check ups for repeat medication, conducting follow-up consultations, managing arthritis, performing blood testing, engaging in end-of-life discussions, hospice care and euthanasia.
If any of these consultations necessitate additional procedures such as sedation, imaging (ultrasound or xray), wound management, or minor surgical procedures, Nova has a dedicated clinical space equipped to handle your pet’s needs safely and efficiently. The Nova team will provide further details if necessary.
In Home Euthanasia
The decision-making process is never an easy one, and the team at Nova recognizes and empathises with this. We understand how overwhelming and stressful it can be for everyone involved, which is why we are dedicated to providing a service that alleviates any anxiety experienced by both parties.
To make a booking, all you need to do is reach out to us via phone call or email. We are here to listen to your concerns or engage in further discussions about the process.
Please feel free to choose any of these contact methods, and we will ensure that we get in touch with you soon.
Advantages of utilising home services: Calm and stress free experience, as there is no requirement to transport your beloved animals. Tailored to your schedule, offering flexibility with the option of evening appointments. Allow yourself to be in the comforting familiarity of your own home. Receive continuous support and never feel rushed with Nova.
If you wish to get your pet cremated, we can discuss this in depth further at the time of enquiry.
We will ask if you wish to have any keepsakes, this includes ink or clay paw prints, as well as fur trimmings. Please advise us if you do not wish for this.

Vaccinations & Microchipping
The health and well-being of your pets greatly rely on staying updated with vaccines.
Uncertain about the specific vaccinations your pet needs? Simply send us your pet’s complete medical record from your regular veterinarian or updated vaccination book, and we will gladly engage in a discussion regarding the necessary vaccines.
Microchipping is an efficient and safe way for pet identification. Nova uses a new generation of microchips, the chip is able to read the pets subcutaneous skin temperature and identification number simultaneously using a standard reader.
It is also important to register the chip on the New Zealand Companion Animal Register (NZCAR). This is a huge database, allowing vet clinics to access information to reunite owners with missing or injured pets. We are happy to do this paperwork at the time of microchipping, or provide you with the resources you need to do so.
Diagnostic Imaging
At Nova we can offer Ultrasound, Radiographs and Endoscopy.
Itsuki provides a wealth of knowledge, aiming to provide a cost effective diagnostic tool to assist in better and efficient care for your animals.
Wellness Blood Testing
At Nova, we provide mobile consultations with the convenience of wellness blood testing. Our portable machine enables you to receive your test results immediately during the consultation. It is particularly beneficial for older pets as it helps identify any hidden diseases that may arise.
If you require ongoing medication, our blood testing service is also a fantastic way to eliminate the anxiety of visiting the clinic. We can collect the blood sample right at your home, making the process comfortable for both you and your pet. Additionally, if the results indicate no abnormalities, we can arrange for your repeat medication as well.
